I don’t remember we even had this variable in the past ;)
Anyway, the audit log is now configured directly in
etc/org.ops4j.pax.logging.cfg (see log4j2.logger.audit | log4j2.appender.audit).
Here’s we use KARAF_LOG ($karaf.log) variable. You can always create "your"
KARAF_AUDIT_LOG.
