This could be the root cuase :

  *   Yarn node manager link with port 8042 is directly exposed, so it doesn’t. 
go thru knox gateway.
  *   I believe that Knox doesn’t support Yarn Node Manager yet.

Until otherwise we get better solution from knox community,I would open up port 
8042  .

Subject: Getting HTTP Error 404 on Accessing Container logs in YARN

Greetings,

I’m currently working to enable EMR UI’s (YARN/SparkHistory) using apache knox. 
As of now, I’m able to install knox and access these UI’s through browser. But 
when I was trying the access the logs under YARNUI -> Applications -> Logs, I’m 
getting HTTP 404 error. I have attached the topology XML and the screenshots 
with this mail.

Could anyone please help me resolve this issue ?
