Hi Ashish,

The slide is shared here, just FYI:

Hi Shaofeng,

Yes, we are able to setup Kylin and build cubes.
We are are doing a PoC, so still exploring things on it. Once we have concluded
it, I will definitely share the use case here.

Thanks,
Ashish

Hi Ashish,

'GT' here stands for "GridTable", which is an abstract for Kylin's storage
layer;

Yeah, the slides will be shared after the event. We may also update some
content to Kylin's documentation.

Were you able to run Kylin successfully at your side? What's the scenario that
you hope Kylin can help? We'd like to get feedback from you, in a technical or
business perspectives. Thanks!

Hi Shaofeng,

Thanks for the reply.
I understand it now.

I see a lot of 'GT' in class name, curious to know what it stands for ?

Good luck for your presentation. Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it
this time.
I hope your slides will uploaded somewhere from where we can refer it.

Regards,
Ashish

Hi Ashish,

I'm preparing a slide for HBase Conference Asia 2018 next week. Here are some
bullets for it:

Dimension values are encoded to bytes (via dictionary or others)

Measures are serialized into bytes

HBase Rowkey format: Shard ID (2 bytes) + Cuboid ID (8 bytes) + Dimension values

HBase Value: measure serialized bytes

The HBase table is split into regions by Shard ID

You can refer to org.apache.kylin.cube.kv.RowKeyEncoder;

Hi Team,

Is there any blog or some one can tell me what is HBase schema of the table in
which cube data is stored ?
If you can point me to class also where the HBase rowkey and column value is
formed will also be helpful.

Thanks,
Ashish
