the live area can be done within a clustered environment because it's read-only. The authoring cannot yet.
I actually thought that
the implementation of JCR/Jackrabbit would also solve this problem
for the authoring area, but Jackrabbit is not far yet re clustering, although
there had been discussions on that. Please take a look at the Jackrabbit mailing list.
But I really hope that Lenya is clusterable someday also for the authoring area.
