First question: last week I created a new publication, a couple of new
pages and began to tweak XSLT and CSS. But I had flailed around so much
I thought I would start over clean. Bad timing? ;-)
Starting from the tutorial, I created the 'foo' page. kupu let be edit
it, but when I saved, the content reverted to the default content.
'foo' is still in the site structure. bxe did let me modify and save
'foo' but is very hard to work with, mainly because there is no visible
cursor.
O.K., maybe jackrabbit development confused the 'traditional' methods.
Click on http://metaphor:8888/index.html?lenya.usecase=jcr.import,
select 'blog'. Again and select 'default'. Swapped lines in
build/lenya/webapp/WEB-INF/classes/org/apache/lenya/lenya.roles. Killed
and restarted lenya. Same behavior.
Well, I am using jdk1.5.0_01, o.k., switch to j2sdk1.4.2_06, new svn(s)
build, startup. Same behavior.
Remembered that a build is required after a new resource type. Killed
lenya, ./build.sh, restart. Now it's really hosed. ;-) I can enter
editor mode, but when I try to edit anything, including meta and nav, I
get a new login prompt. When I log in again I return to the index page.
Guess I will rm -r src and start over. ;-) But I want to check
assumptions. ;-)
I originally wasted a week on incorrect docs; downloaded cocoon tar
files did not work. Seems they were seriously out of date.
So:
SPARC Solaris 10, jdk1.5.0_01, Firefox 1.0.6 (I tried IE from a remote
XP, same results.)
svn co http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/cocoon/branches/BRANCH_2_1_X
./cocoon2.1.X
svn co http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/lenya/trunk lenya-1.4.x
Second question: that is straight from the web site's documentation. Is
it the real lenya 1.4? ;-)
