Dear Adam
Please apologize for contacting you off the list, but I think we have
done similar things as you probably expect from Lenya for two of
our customers:
- Weil Publishing (Rules and Regulations for various US States)
- Smile (Handling of a complex workflow for internal documents using
XIndice)
Btw, Weil Publishing is now part of LexisNexis.
Please let me know if you might want to discuss your requirements in more
detail.
All the best
Michael

Hi,
We are looking for a CMS that can handle xml documents from
legislative proceedings.
The CMS will need to integrate with a feature-rich XML
repository/database, which supports advanced indexing, metadata,
search and retrieval functionality. Such a repository may be internal
to the CMS (if Lenya has one), or it may be external e.g products
like Apache XIndice, TeraTextDB from Inquirion, Mark Logic, etc.
Also, the CMS may integrate with an external document editor e.g.
OpenOffice for document creation/editing.
The CMS will also need to integrate with an external rdbms e.g. mysql
to store information that is preferable in a relational db than in
XML, e.g. user information.
Can anyone offer us information on how Apache Lenya can be useful in
this context, information on if/how it has been used in such a
context, any other factors to consider or perhaps other Open Source
CMSs to consider?
regards,
Adam Nyaga
