Felix or Josias showed me this nice use of the good old diff:
# diff btw 2 svns, drop the q for the whole diff
diff -rq -x '\.svn' -I '\$Id' /home/ren/lenya/1.4.x/
/home/ren/lenya/1.4.x-custom/ > diff.log
