Hi,We've been using tomcat with lenya 1.2.3. Unfortunately, I now need to move lenya to oracle app server, which requires me to deploy via war/ear. The way that lenya builds, it jams all its files straight into the tomcat directory instead of packaging up a war. I can generate a war by hand, however, if I need to make a change and then redeploy, all my pubs get blown away because they live in the deployment directory. How can I have my pubs live elsewhere? All the posts I've seen on this topic talk about setting the pubs.root.dirs, but then when you build, that still copies the pubs into the webapp deployment directory. I don't want to copy my pubs into the webapp deployment directory, I want them to live somewhere else and have lenya reference them there instead. Is this possible? E.g., the war would just contain the lenya stuff without pubs and when deployed, it would look like: OASHOME/j2ee/lenya/ WEB-INF/... lenya/ config resources scheduler.xmap no pubs dir here any more! ... welcome.xslt ... and my pubs would be elsewhere, like /home/lenya/pubs and the app would write to that dir when you edit/publish, etc. Thanks, -m --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
This won't fix the build problem, but symlinks should work just fine. Might need to make a post build script or something like that to remove what is put in there and to create the symlink(s).
