The problem is not specific to IE, it happens with Firefox as well (without Firedocs). Could be IE compatibility ;-)

For oneform and TinyMCE it works. Is the kupu error handling simpler than for these editors?

Actually I have no idea, I didn't take a closer look at the error handling yet (I'm focusing on the XML editors).

Note that the patch I attached to the bug report improves the behaviour insofar as kupu removes many offending tags/attributes before trying to save.

That sounds good. Is someone taking care of the patch? I'm currently working on other issues (tests etc.), it would be great if someone could take the lead for the TinyMCE and Kupu issues. Thanks! :)
