Seems I was having a bit of a thick moment last friday lol. Helps if I read the instructions lol.
1: The username and password is the SG username and password 2: The live database is specified by the location of the import_post.php file - In this case http://www.cio.leeds.nhs.uk/midcom-exec-midcom.helper.replicator/import_post.php not: http://www.cio.leeds.nhs.uk:8080/midcom-exec-midcom.helper.replicator/import_post.php which is the staging site. 3: Re-imported the AT service and it seems to work this morning so that cleared up that error. Okay, that clears up a couple of mysteries. But the replication import is still not working. Replication information now provides (eg): Replication information for Imported to database Never Exported from database 14/08/07 09:17:26 So it seems to be correctly now exporting. There is however no change on the 'live' server. There is also nothing in the replicator log file or www.cio.leeds.nhs.uk midcom log files to indicate an issue The cron jobs appear to be running correctly as well and the live vhost file refers to midgardlive database rather than midgard. Ok some questions: 1: When you are looking at the staging page replication information, does the Imported to Database change to show the data has been imported successfully on the live database or is that related to imports into the staging database? 2: Does style information get copied across by the replication or is it only data? (i.e. if I change one of my styles on the staging server will it get replicated to the live server automatically or do I have to manually edit the style on the live database as well?) 2a: As a follow-on to 2, when I set up a new site for a client will page, topic, article and style information be replication onto the live server or does page and style information have to be created on the live database as well? 3: How long does replication normally take after approval - is it within a minute or up to the hour? - I assume its defined by the cron job 4: Any pointers to the reason why the data is exporting properly but not appearing on the live database?
