Hi, I just forwarded your comment to Stephen Mallette (the primary developer of Rexster). I don't believe it blocks for these reasons:
1. Tomcat (or Grizzly) doesn't block. 2. Neo4j doesn't block. 3. There is a new Gremlin script engine for each query. However, I'm not confident --- I will forward whatever Stephen says.
