Sure. You just need to get the working Embedder.

This issue is not caused by the plugin, but issue in Maven Embedder.
So, there is no point to try it with the trunk without working Embedder.
Is there a planned release date for 0.0.10?

Up to you of course. As I said, currently there is no point to work on
plugin because can't get working Maven Embedder for few months.
