Wolfgang,
The feature in 0.11 doesn't allow you to specify different repositories
for local and central.
It allows you to specify where the Settings.xml files are for the user
and the machine.
 
This is more fundamental and ties in with Maven's natural build
mechanics.
If you want to include other repositories then you would list them in
either of these 2 Maven settings files (or in your POM if the
repositories is project specific).

There is announce a new feature in the issue MNGECLIPSE-32.
 
Is it possible to search in different repositories as only in the local
and central repository in version 0.11. 
if yes, please let me know the settings. I looked in the mailing lists
and i was wondered because this feature is discuseed so often.
