We use stats from update site to track downloads and publishing
archive site will break those stats.
If you really need a local copy of update site, you can use mirroring
feature of the Eclipse Update Manager. See built-in Eclipse help for
more details.

of archived-sites, which i can transfer via USB or other methods.
I tried to check the update site for archived versions, because i
found them already on some other plugin sites, but the m2eclipse
update-site does not provide them. Thats why i am asking, if anyone
knows, where i can download them.
