You didn't specify repository in your catalog where download
archetypes from. In this case archetype wizard is probably would try
repositories registered in "Maven Indexes" view and it would fail if
archetype can't be found in those repositories. You may get more
information by enabling debug logging.
Also, can an archetype create more than one project? For example, a singluar
archetype that creates a multi-module build project, the ear project, the
war project etc of a J2EE project.
