No one requested it, though it is rather trivial to implement if
someone is interested to contribute something like that... ;-)
The extension point is documented at

You don't really have to implement the full SCM handler and can can
just use SCM UI handler or simply add an adapter factory for Team/CVS
classes. Then it would use Maven SCM provider for CVS for checkout.
Though I have almost working prototype for built on Team/CVS API and can
publish it if someone is interested in finishing it.
