You also have to add the wtp update site to your eclipse and then
another bunch of update sites. Plus ubuntu's eclipse installation is
pretty crappy: you have to be root to modify already installed plugins
(that's why you get the "Unable to write file..." error)
Instead of using the ubuntu version, I recommend downloading the Eclipse
J2EE version from eclipse.org, put it in your home folder and retry the
installation of m2eclipse through the Find & Install dialog. (That's
what I did, I'm on ubuntu 8.04)

Hello every body,
I want to add paven plugin to eclipse, then I added
http://m2eclipse.sonatype.org/update/ in
help->softawareUpdate->FindandInstall
But I have this error :
Maven POM XML Editor (Optional) (0.9.4.20080603-0114) requires plug-in
"org.eclipse.wst.xml.ui".
I also tried to use this command in the terminal
mvn -Declipse.workspace=/usr/lib/eclipse eclipse:add-maven-repo
But I have this error : Unable to write to file:
/usr/lib/eclipse/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.runtime/.settings/org.eclipse.jdt.core.prefs
I'm using eclipse in Ubuntu
Thanks for any help.
Daniel
