Note that some artifacts have been wrongly deployed in the main Maven
repositories.
For instance some of them have only the .jar file and not the .pom
file - and if this is the case then Maven will try again every time to
download the .pom file - I remember getting this with exactly the POM
for opensaml.
Perhaps you need to add some other <repository>s that have the complete POMs?
