As Jason said, he is talking to Jboss Tools developers about this issue.
In a mean time if you want to dig into this yourself, you can start with
configuring your development environment. We have some basic
instructions on the wiki at

Jboss Tools WTP structures (ot the way it is used) has problems with
m2eclipse (for ex. an application.xml that is created with
maven-ear-plugin is not included during the server deployment). I like
to investigate that sort of problems but unfortunately necessary know
how with WTP missing by me. Like wthat is exactly actions a WTP
project adding to eclipse project structure and so….
So I would like to ask do you know good articles/tutorial about
extending or programming WTP based plugin, I couldn't find any usefull
article in the internet. So if you can direct me some resource that
would help me alot.
