XML parsing error: Character reference "�" is an invalid XML character.

Hi All ,
I am using Manifoldcf 2.15 version , and using the window shares connector
to ingest some documents into elastic. A running job gave this error:-
XML parsing error: Character reference "&#55349" is an invalid XML
character.

Now I CANNOT access "List all jobs" or "Status and Job management" tab to
of , as clicking on these gives error:-

*XML parsing error: Character reference "&#55349" is an invalid XML
character.*

How can it be resolved , how can I access tabs to either stop it or process
anything ? Any specific reason why this error occurred? or can be solved
when parsing xml file
