Hy, we're currently heading for a bigger project which will be Midgard powered. Currenlty we have our site setup using PHP4 and PHPLib with a template engine. We decided to switch over to Midgard during the last week to make the whole system more usable, as the number of developers increases.
Right now the whole system consists of a load balancer and three web servers with a 1 Terabyte file array and an MySQL cluster where the database is stored. The mysql cluster is available through to all web servers. Now I would like to know if it's possible to use the MidgardDatabase directive with a hostname. Perhaps something like that possible? MidgardDatabase db.myhost.com:database username password This would be great and solve my first problem. The secound would be more work oriented. As multiple developers and designers will work with the system, we will need some kind of locking for database records to avoid more than one guy accessing articles or page codes. Does Asgard (or Midgard) support something like that?
