Do not forget what midgard is except content management. Application Server Suite. Trust me , making own admin site for some specific uses is not so hard. And makes you and Your users feel more comfortable. You do not have to hear: - hey man! what was abstract for? and extra3? or - I got 10 edit boxes, Do I need fill them all? BTW Emile wrote that there are some works to improve admin sites. So be patient.
