Some installation fixes (I promise I'll do a point release before the end of next week, unless someone beats me to it, nudge nudge, wink wink, know what I mean?[0]) The newer stuff (mmp and php4-ec) are under active development. Mmp actually seems to do pretty good, php4-ec is far from usuable. > What are the most essential new features/bugfixes > in CVS-versions that I can't find in 1.4.2? There's a pagelink-related bugfix I checked in this morning. If you don't use pagelinks and you're using php4.0.6, and you have no install issues, there's nothing specific you need. > How stable or unstable is current CVS-version? > Is there any specific "snapshot" release that is known > to be more stable than 1.4.2 - or otherwise "a good choice"? CVS has seen only minor fixes since 1.4.2. That doesn't mean that this will remain so. We have a number of severes outstanding that we'll fix. > I prefer _not_ to go through the installation process > too often (because there's always the risk of breaking > something). In a tight time-frame (6 months) I need > to concentrate mainly to the WebDesign itself... 1.4.2 would be OK. If there's something that doesn't work, that's the time to worry about upgrading.
