Midgard Lite is Alan Knowles child. So it's kind of arrogance on my account to post this, especially because I'm very new to midgard. However, I would like to share a thought about such an large announcement. I think you should wait a little. It would be better to get Asgard and oldadmin to work first. Not even all functions, but at least the browsing. Somebody can add the missing edit and create functions later (it should be a very simple and... dull task). It may even be that oldadmin already works fine (I haven't tried it) but I'm pretty sure Asgard does not. I think it's not very time consuming to fix this, so hopefully it would be a short delay. The risk I see: Some people will try midgard lite out, came to the conclusion that it does not work and will ignore it from than on. That would be sad because actually Alan is right. Midgard Lite implements most functions, works pretty well and is very easy to modify. It's kind of an trade-off between "attract new developers" and "don't scare away users".
