Hello again,
I didn't get that far with the sid packages. I installed the
midgard-data RC2 manually with the following defaults:
./configure \
--with-db-host=localhost \
--with-db-admin-user=root \
--with-db-admin-password=<password> \
--with-db-user=midgard \
--with-db-user-password=<password> \
--with-db=midgard \
--with-host=example.com \
--with-blobdir=/var/www/midgard/blobs \
--with-pagecache=/var/www/midgard/cache \
--with-apache-user=www-data \
--with-apache-group=www-data \
--with-asgard \
--with-install=new
1. The INSTALL file in midgard-data refers to oldadmin but I think
I saw something about oldadmin not being supported anymore.
If true wouldn't it be wise to remove the oldadmin references
from the INSTALL, configure options and dbinstall?
2. The resulting midgard-data.conf do not point to where
midgard-root.php is installed on my system. The package
libapache-mod-midgard installs it in
/usr/lib/libapache-mod-midgard/midgard-root.php
but midgard-data.conf refers to
/usr/lib/apache/1.3/midgard-root.php
Probably a (mis)configuration on my behalf?
3. The package php4-midgard installs midgard.so in
/usr/lib/php4/20020429 but my php4 (woody default: 4.1.2-4)
expects things to be installed in /usr/lib/php4/20010901.
This is perhaps because the sid packages are built against
php4-4.2.1 which is in the unstable distribution. I could
not find a php4-module debian package for woody so now I'm
kinda stuck again.
I'm looking forward to all the wise suggestions on how to get on
with this. I'll entertain myself by building the php4-module
manually while waiting. =)
Regards,
