Not quite. The *custom_fields* funtions are designed to automate
extending a Midgard object. Usually you have to do a lot of -> parameter
calls for each field that is not directly supported by Midgard. With my
functions, you define an Array of Variable names that should be saved as
parameters on the object in question and the two functions save and load
the parameters in question.

MidCOM is far more then that. It is an advanced application framework
built on top of Midgard which features a component system which you use
to create a complete website. It uses the topic tree to define the
structure of the website and snippets to define components. Further
