Hi, I am entering new territory right now and need some HELP. So far I have had all my midgard sites on 1 Server. Now a customer wants staging and Live DB on different servers. I have read a little about it, but some questions remain: Heres the facts: -Staging server has the name esc04.charite.de (can only be viewed from intranet and Firewall rules only allow port 80) Midgard 1.5.5 on SuSE 8.2 -Live Server is esc.charite.de (also only port 80 open) Midgard 1.4.4 on SuSE 7.3
questions: -How do I take care of the different server names??? -What is the best strategy to set this up??? -will there be trouble if staging and Live Server are different midgard/aegir versions? -are there any scripts or step-by-step-tutorials out there for this case?
