There is already page about it at http://www.aegir-cms.org/Development/Templates.html Generally, I would like to see the Aegir site get added with info like this. Everybody in the devel team has editing access, but maybe somebody needs to get the "documentation maintainer" hat? The responsibility would be adding interesting info from the mailing lists and IRC to the site.
