Assuming your whole site isn't based on personalisation, implementing Squid as a web accelerator with proper caching headers on your pages can allow Midgard to scale to unforeseen heights. See our documentation and benchmarking results.

Hi,

Are there any FAQs available for large Midgard websites? I'm wondering
where Midgard might break for a high-traffic site.

A related question about scalability: Can Midgard be set up in the
following way?

            Internet
               |
               V
     +---------------------+
     | Load Balancer (LVS) |
     +---------------------+
         | |
         V V
    +--------+ +--------+
    | MG1 | | MG2 |
    +--------+ +--------+
         | |
         +-----+------+
               |
               V
           +-------+
           | MySQL |
           +-------+

Idea is that there is a single MySQL midgard database, but multiple
Apache/Midgard front end servers, which are responsible for running
the PHP scripts, which in some cases might get rather complex, so
having multiple "renderers" might be desirable? (do the experts
agree?)

Does this setup work?

Does Midgard handle collisions properly so that no database
inconsistencies occur? e.g., MG1 and MG2 are both updating the
same "article" object at the same time.

Thanks for your help.
/Jim
