HiYou might have problems with another port as Aegir uses the portnumber to define a site as staging. I would guess the simples route here would be to use portforwarding to forward the port 80 on admin. to p� 8001 on the other server.
Just wondering if anyone has had to face the issue of firewalls blocking all ports but port 80 and so making access to the staging site difficult. We have a staging and live setup according to the default instructions with live on port 80 and staging on port 8001. However some of our content contributors that need to be able to access Aegir on the staging are behind firewalls that block access to everything but port 80. Is the best solution in this case to set up Aegir in the staging as a separate virtual host on port 80? For example admin.wilderness.org.au.
