Yes because we have upgraded to tomcat 6.0.x which is only 1.5.

It appears that tomcat-maven-plugin has been changed with code that
is not supported by java 1.4.2. Namely 1.5 java bytecode. Is this
intended? If so, wouldn't it be better to only support what maven
2.0.9 itself has claimed to support? i.e. java 1.4.
It appears that these changes were made between alpha-1 and
beta-1...
