most of the work at the moment is on ensuring that the existing
plugins have good integration tests so that we can ensure that they
perform the same for 2.x and 3.x
adding new features which do not include invoker based positive and
negative tests will take a back seat IMHO
if you can ensure that your patch (which I have not looked at) has ITs
you stand a better chance
