I am relatively new to the technology and have started using it more recently. 
I was curious to understand how the patch process work, so I can plan my 
solution surrounding this issue.

Hi Rajesh,

I think that if this is something you desperately require then an alternative 
would be to open a JIRA issue detailing the problem. This way we can track 
progress, and in time, someone can work towards a patch.

If you svn co the latest trunk then you will be able to start on it at your 
leisure.
