Newbie question. I'm crawling with Nutch and indexing into SOLR. At http://wiki.apache.org/nutch/FAQ I see this answer on scoring.
=================================================================== How can I influence Nutch scoring? Scoring is implemented as a filter plugin, i.e. an implementation of the ScoringFilter class. By default, the OPIC Scoring Filter is used. There are also numerous scoring filter properties which can be specified within nutch-site.xml. =================================================================== I assume "scoring-opic" under "plugin.includes" in nutch-default.xml refers to the above filter. So when does OPIC influence document scores? It seems it could be one of these four - Nutch indexing time - Nutch request time - SOLR indexing time - SOLR request time I need to influence scoring on SOLR requests only. Does a SOLR request use the filter and boost settings in nutch-default.xml and nutch-site.xml to score result docs dynamically? Also, is there a list of the scoring filter properties mentioned above? thx Thomas -- View this message in context: http://lucene.472066.n3.nabble.com/When-does-scoring-opic-in-nutch-default-affect-scoring-tp4053254.html Sent from the Nutch - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
