Hi Mike, I think there shouldn't be any issues upgrading the new schema.xml into the Solr core holding the index filled from Nutch. Maybe with two exceptions: - index-geoip is used (then some field definitions may change) - when an older Solr version is used (eg. not yet supporting solr.LatLonPointSpatialField)
In doubt, I'd run a test before to be sure that the production system isn't broken.
