Hi Everyone, I am running ofbiz on a Dell 2950 Quad Core Dual Processor server. I am using Xen Paravirtualization and ubuntu 64 bit editions for the host and guest os. The configuration is like this: Dell 2950 Quad Core 8 GB RAM OS - Ubuntu Dapper 6.06 LTS JavaVM - Sun's Java SDK 1.5 64 bit Apache - 2 AJP for connecting to Ofbiz (i.e. Tomcat) Memory Allocated for Ofbiz 4 GB Database PostgreSQL 64 bit with Ubuntu.
We do not have any problem on running ofbiz on this environment. In the later part I would be configuring PostgreSQL using continuent.org's sequoia for database cluster. Its been running for over a month now without a problem. One note on virtualization performance. Native virtualization using Intel VT is slower then ParaVirtualizatioin. Thanks With best regards, Vikrant -----Original Message----- From: Walter Vaughan [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, March 30, 2007 3:02 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: 64 bit ofBiz Chris Howe wrote: > There was a note on Sun's website that Java 5 does not support Itanium > 2 processor, so I guess keep that in mind. Nah, I'm looking at the Quad core Intel Xeons, Dual Core Opertons, or a used Niagra.
