I am not clear on your focus. the original statement was that you wanted to have others use your services. All that I read on the crossdomain.xml says 1) it is for flash applications to access the website 2) it is not aware of services in ofbiz.
to my knowledge, as limited as it is, says the crossdomain.xml will not effect exporting ofbiz services used by the service engine. you may want to investigate further, or I have a lot of reading todo and would appreciated some links.
