Hi Terence,
Yes most of the time it's easier to set 2 (or more) instances. I think it's why
we don't have much use of currencies rate in OFBiz.
Maybe this link can convince you http://markmail.org/thread/lhq4sea2cthcm6cd
You may also want to set different prices with differents currencies, but this
need to be maintained as OOTB there are currently no
mechanims to update a price from another (same product in another currency)

I'm working on the IBM POS printer issue right now, it's now connected thru
RS232 (USB is another beast), right ?
Thanks for FireFox

Hi,
What is the suggested way to configure the system?
It is quite common that the headquarter is in U.S., and a Physical Retail
Store is in Europe.
Do I have to run two instances of Ofbiz for these two orgainzations, each
other with different default currency settings?

Terence

I don't think so, this would be a major issue has some inconsistency would
be introduced in the main data base. This would need
something specific to allow conversion between. But here comes another
difficulty : currencies exchange rates...

Hi,
Could I allow to set the the default currency of MCS in USD and POS in
EUR
in currency.uom.id.default
in ${ofbiz install dir}/framework/common/config/general.properties
and still able to sync?
Regards,
Terence
