If OFBiz had a system of sub-projects like other Apache projects, would
this be an attractive way to develop, distribute and promote the
workflow module?

What has been done:
1. Using the original ofbiz shark workflow component as a basis.
2. Let ofbiz create the activiti database and load with demo data.
3. activiti made operational within the ofbiz environment.
Next steps:
1. make activiti work under https
2. make the 'vacation request' in activity work with ofbiz services....
