Hi,
So I've been ingesting as much of OODT today as possible.
I am going to stick with it for my use case as I like the idea of set up
the CAS Crawler to obtain data from our staging directory and the use of
daemons in order to do so is also appealing as we envisage our data volumes
to grow larger and lager.

USE CASE
Right now, I am looking at beating the TREC Genomics [0] score as we want
to do do advanced IR tasks for patent retrieval within bioMedical domain.
I can use the Lucene features for the CAS metadata catalogue for my
products and also build a Solr index to do my search.
I will be building some UI features which enable me to improve search over
the product.
All good so far.

PROBLEM
Further to Rishi's ApacheCon talk, I am eager to get further with the RADIX
archetype module [1] but it seems that it is not all working to plan.
Based on the tutorial here [2] and various input here [3] in particular
Mike's comments here [4] I am hitting the same brick wall.

I'll be stuck on this until I can iron it out as use of the archetype is
extremely valuable and useful to me.
It did however occur that I should throw this one on user@ to see if others
are aware that this may not work out of the box, and that it has been
reported in the past.

Thank in advance

Lewis
