I see nothing suspicious
I would try to find logs written at the time of error

while testing I'm starting sharing with record then
1) enter the same room as user B
2) check if sharing displayed as expected
3) check if file was created on FS and growing

if any of the above is not true: time to stop everything and check logs and
permissions
