owncloud installs the copyright notice into /usr/share/doc/owncloud
It has two dependencies: owncloud-files and owncloud-deps-php5 which contain the server and the apache configuration.
Are you sure the installation worked and installed all the dependencies as well? Sounds like it was incomplete...
