Hello Everyone, The Apache Phoenix team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the 6.0.0 release of the Phoenix Query Server component. Phoenix Query Server provides access to Phoenix via a single HTTP connection, thus enabling additional use cases.
This is the first release of the standalone Phoenix Query Server component, which was decoupled from the main Phoenix release in version 4.15 / 5.1.x. Query Server 6.0.0 works with Phoenix 4.15.x, 4.16.x, and 5.1.x. Note that Query Server 6.0.0 does not include the necessary Phoenix thick client JAR by default, the Phoenix thick client JAR must be copied into the installation directory. Some highlights of this release: - Decoupled from the main Phoenix releases - Supports SPNEGO authentication over HTTPS - Thin client library no longer includes Hadoop libraries - Kerberos handling improvements - Avatica dependency updated to 1.18.0 - Wrapper scripts now work Python 3.0 Download source and binaries here [1].
