The org.apache.pivot.wtk.media.Picture class can be used to wrap an AWT BufferedImage, if that helps.
OTOH, it would be great if someone wanted to write up a custom Image subclass that was capable of rendering PDFs directly. That way, they would be scalable (unlike a PDF that is converted into a bitmap)...
