I'd suggest you try to get a library/framework to do the multipart stuff for you, that's almost certainly the source of your problem
However, until you can get your servlet to write out the same bunch of bytes you uploaded, then you'll need to ask a java servlet forum for help, not poi, as it just isn't an appropriate forum for that style of problem.
