The error message is pretty informative IMO. Word 95 format isn't supported by POI, sadly. On the other hand I get the impression that Word 95 might be a simpler format than the one POI does support. I'm sure I saw some Java code around somewhere for reading it, but I can't remember where... (Nutch maybe?)
