Anthony, I am creating a cell of type Text and putting in a number or creating a cell of type Text and letting the user add data. I do not want the conversion to a number to loose leading zeros etc. The warning in Excel may cause the user to convert a Cell of type Text to a Cell of type Number. The "error checking" (thanks...Microsoft) can be disabled in Excel but that is not a good solution for lots of users. Individually per cell the warning can be ignored in Excel and that is what the BiffViewer diff was trying to understand.
