I have an Excel 2003 workbook (1 sheet, 2 rows, 14 columns, 25Kb) that demonstrates the symptoms reported in Bug 45672 when using POI 3.5beta5 to run the XLS2CSVmra example program. I expect the converter to show 2 rows, but it emits 3 rows on this input. The header row is read fine, but the single data row magically becomes 2 rows in the output. The formats on the row 2 cells are key to triggering the undesired behavior. If I clear all formats on row 2, the row is converted fine.
Please tell me what is the best next action. I can attach the file to bug 45672, or I can open a new bug. I'm not sure of the protocol. I'll attach the file here for starters. Thanks for listening.
