we are able to extract embedded objects of Word either another word/Excel/powerpoint. and also for Excel embedded objects of Word/Excel/powerpoint;;; also the same for embedded objects of powerpoint. But with the event driven reading of documents, I could not get event as of embedded document format name. I am able to extract root documents. Also i noticed for Word embedded excel/word/powerpoint we are able to extract. But when I placed powerpoint with embedded Excel, i could not find any event for embedded excel workbook.
