Yes, I've been doing something similar with charts (and pivot tables),
but now that POI supports line charts I was wondering whether that was
being extended for other types.
Unfortunately for this project we can't predict the number of charts or
the number of items on each.

You can also fill hidden sheets & use the
data in a Chart on another (visible) sheet.
